All-Purpose Fishing Boats
Some builders refer to them as SUV’s because they are capable of pursuing many species, including bass, without compromising serious fishability. They tend to have higher freeboard (sit higher in the water) than bass boats because they spend more time in rough water in pursuit of walleye, musky and pike. Livewells, rod lockers, a bow (front) or transom (aft or rear motor mounting position) trolling motor and powerful outboard power are the rule.
