Learn to fish at a seminar designed for women: Absolute beginner in fishing and boating, or have some skills and want to improve? Take a fishing seminar for women. The "Ladies, Let's Go Fishing!"seminar series offers four Florida weekend programs a year. Networking on Friday, Saturday classes on saltwater fishing, hands-on skill practice including boat handling, trailer backing and working with tackle and fishing with your peers on Sunday by boat. Some skills are applicable to freshwater fishing, too! No experience or equipment necessary. Open to women 21 and up from around the country.

Last year the inaugural Women's Musky Fishing School sponsored by Shimano ended up a resounding success. Eighteen extraordinary women learned how to take their boats out by themselves and hunt for the elusive musky. It was an amazing weekend-full of laughter and camaraderie, and women talking about “ripping crankbaits along a deep breakline." Man, you gotta love that. Many of the gals were already Muskie, Inc. members and most of the rest signed up after the event. The future of the sports of fishing and boating, as well as various conservation organizations, depend on getting new faces involved.
